Job Description

This position will be responsible for performing a variety of operations to include but not limited to: the forming, cutting, bending, and braking of material to form fabricated parts correctly and efficiently.

Position: Full-time
  • Operate most sheet metal machines such as press brake, shear, roll, and other machinery as required
  • Fabricate and assemble parts and product in timely manner
  • Use a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to cut and form pieces to required dimensions
  • Verify conformance of parts to specifications
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Operate and understand proper lifting and rigging techniques
  • Monitor machines at all times for proper operation
  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements
  • Perform all other duties as required by management

Education & Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Experience in the metal fabrication process (Preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must know how to read blueprints
    • Receives work orders and prints and use shop calculations/math if necessary; works from complex drawings, prints, templates, and specifications
  • Excellent skills in Math
  • Knowledge in operation computerized machinery
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and understand both written and verbal instructions in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well alone and with others
  • Ability to work safely and accurately

Physical Requirements:

  • Capacity to bend, sit, stand, and stoop for periods during normal job duties as required
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
